It's a Girl!!!

We have a fantastic family friend who volunteered to do another ultrasound for us at 18 weeks so we could HOPEFULLY find out the sex of the baby....since it was not cooperating at our last appointment. We got some wonderful pictures of the baby and found out 100% that it's a GIRL!! YAY PINK! I am excited to have a sweet little girl and I know Morgan is excited too, although he acts like it's nothing. Silly daddy! Sam is going to be a wonderful big brother to her and I am so excited that she's going to have a big brother to look out for her. After packing away all of Sam's old baby clothes last week all I can say is "Bring on the dresses and the bows!" I am really going to have to limit myself on spending for her. I went absolutely CRAZY on stuff for Sam...I can only guess how fun it's going to be to buy all those cutesy girly clothes!! :-) Morgan got to decorate Sam's room, so I guess I get to decorate our little girl's room.....so many choices. Morgan suggests I use barbwire like he did for Sam's, but put it across the windows. Ha ha, he's quite protective already and she's not even born yet!! I'll keep you posted on any decisions I come up with for her room. Don't worry, there will be NO barbwire for this babe!!! Now on to some cute photos!!!

See, MUCH more cooperative this time!! You can definitely tell she's a girl!

Cute little baby foot!

Nice profile!! You can barely see her hand, but she's sucking her thumb!

She's waving!

Nice 3-D picture of her all cuddled up...just a tiny little bug.

It's been awhile....sorry

I know, it's been forever since I've updated. Who would've thought that becoming a stay-at-home mom would keep you so dang busy?? Sometimes it would be nice to have another job, just to have a break!! But truthfully, I wouldn't give this up for ANYTHING. Morgan started his new job about a month ago and is really enjoying it. I think he just enjoys having the weekends off more than anything. It's nice finally having him home and spending some much needed family time together. We recently went to Yellowstone with my parents and had a good time. We saw the usual gysers and a whole 6, yes just 6, Buffalo and about as many Elk. Such a sad time not seeing much wildlife, but it was super nice to get away for the weekend. Other than all that, not much else to report. Life it just a regular as before. Oh wait, I think I might be forgetting something.....oh yes, we're going to have another baby!!!! It came as quite the shocker to both of us. After making the decision for me to stay home, we thought we could "try" for #2. Since it took us almost 2 years to get pregnant with Sam we weren't sure what to expect. Well, apparently my body fixed itself because the first time of "trying" we succeeded!! I think when we got the positive test we both just kind of looked at each other and laughed. It took a little while for it to sink in that it really happened so quickly. Although as nervous as I may be to have two little ones, I am super excited for Sam to have a playmate so close in age!!

Here are some updated pictures for you all to enjoy

Celebrating the 4th of July at Uncle Scott's house.
By the way, this is the morning we found out we were preggers....see Morgan's excitement???
Haha, he says the sun was in his eyes (note, the sun is behind us)

Sam playing in the mud...the mud that has since be plastered with grass seed!!
Only a few more weeks and we'll have actual grass to play in!!

Sam enjoying his time at Bear World on our way to Yellowstone.
Pretty sad that we saw TONS more wildlife here than in actual Yellowstone. :-(

Our little man all grown up, and unfortunately all ready for his first funeral.
My Grandma Baddley passed away on Sept 8th.
We loved her so much and will miss her dearly.
Glad she was able to spend some time with Sam before she passed.

Just to show you how much this baby wants his/her presence to be known by EVERYONE.
I am 15 weeks today and look the same as I did at 22 weeks with Sam!

Look What I Can Do!

So, I guess it's about time to finally update our blog. Now that I'm a stay-at-home mommy it should be "easier" for me to find time to blog, right? HA! But I promise I will TRY to do better! :-)

Well, our little man is now a one year old.

How did that happen? It seems like I went to bed one day and woke up and he was a big boy.

Makes mommy a little sad that he's no longer just a little baby. He's showing his personality more and more every day and he's just the cutest kid! Although, since becoming a "big boy" he has started throwing these tantrums where he'll just scream at me if I don't give him what he wants. A little spoiled, eh? He went in for his one year exam and he's still on the small side (he's almost 13 months old and still wearing 6-9 mo clothes) but he's doing well and he's healthy so that's all that matters. He LOVES to be outside! I put our extra baby gate up on the back porch and every morning I open the sliding door and he goes out and "talks" to everyone he sees and throws things over the gate and goes in and out about 20 times before he's done. My mom gave me the brilliant suggestion, so I can't take all the credit. He jabbers all the time and he'll try to sing along if you sing to him. He also really enjoys music....any kind. He dances whenever there is music playing. We were playing Lego Rock Band the other night and instead of wanting the guitars (which I thought he'd scream over) he just enjoyed watching us and dancing along.

He has learned how to open all the cabinet doors.

He pulls everything out and climbs in!

And last but not least....the boy can really walk! He's been taking steps here and there for almost two months now, but just tonight he actually did it all on his own and was walking around the living room!!! I can't believe how quickly they grow up and I thank my Heavenly Father every single day that I am fortunate enough to be home with him to share in these wonderful moments!!

Four years ago....

Today marks our 4 year engagiversary. What's an engagiversary you ask? Why, it's the day we got engaged, of course!! :-) Yes, I find a reason to celebrate as much as possible for any little thing. Morgan thinks it's silly but I love seeing how far we've come since those special little times in our lives. Four years ago today we were in one of my most favorite places with some of my very favoritest (it's definitely a word) people! I remember how ridiculously nervous Morgan was as we drove to the coast with Denver, Kristi and Chase. Morgan is hardly ever quiet, but he didn't talk too much on our drive. There was a breeze blowing when we got to the beach and I remember thinking that the stupid wind was going to mess up my hair for the pictures!!! When we got to the lighthouse Morgan wanted to walk around for a bit....probably to try and calm his nerves. FINALLY we walked over to the bench, he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I never looked at the ring, I just looked straight at him and said yes.

I wanted him to know that I wanted to marry him for HIM and not because of the huge ol' rock he gave me. He picked out the ring himself and I never saw it until that day and boy was it ever worth the wait. The man has taste!!! Thinking of that day still brings tears and makes me so very very happy. I am so glad we were able to share that fabulous experience with Denver, Kristi and Chase. And I am so happy that we have been able to return to "our" lighthouse almost every year since then. We have come so far since then it just amazes me.

Two years ago we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple

and then last year we were blessed with our sweet little Sam

Seriously, can life get any better?? Granted we've had our downs as well....miscarriage, Morgan being laid off, but we have each other and that's what really matters. I love my little family more than anything and I'm so happy that we have forever to share together.

I was wrong....

For some unknown reason, I thought things would get easier the older Sam got. Boy was I ever wrong!! Now that the kid is mobile I have to watch him constantly! He's in to EVERYTHING. But it's so much fun to play with him and watch him learn and grow and become this cute little person. Next week he will be 10 months old. Where has the time gone? He is such a "talkative" little guy. Some days I want to just change my name because all I hear when I get home is "Momma, Momma, Momma". He does, however like to go searching for daddy and will crawl over to the door and jabber "Dadda, dadda" the whole time. He loves playing with the dogs and stealing their toys and teasing them. I have no doubt he'll be walking before he turns 1. He's standing, unsupported, more and more and becomes more confident by the day. He now has 4 teeth and try as I may, he just won't let me get any pictures of them. So, you'll just have to take my word for it. :-)

Sam LOVES going outside and couldn't care less if it's snowing or raining or windy or just plain cold, he wants/has to be outside! He's such his father's child.

He wants SO bad to go out there....but it's raining and snowing today and he's got a cold.

He likes having photo time with mommy. Or at least that's what I tell him. :-)

He can entertain himself very well

There aren't very many pictures of Sam and Mommy....but here's one of my favs

And last but not least....Kristi this one's for you...
