Saturday

Today was a beautiful day....so we played outside while daddy fixed the truck.

Sam has been terrified of the water for reasons unknown to me. We cannot get him OUT of the tub, but yet getting him IN the pool is a chore. I have been begging Morgan to get our pool set up so we can get Sam used to the water again. He was nice enough and got it out today. Once we got Sam in he LOVED it but still won't sit down.

Our precious little girl had to join in the fun!
The water was a little chilly for her, so she supervised :)

Ah...sibling love!

2 Two-Year-Olds....

About a month ago we made a trip down to the Living Planet Aquarium. Sam LOVED it! He enjoyed walking around and showing us all the fishies and turtles and "ssssss's" (snakes). His favorite part, though, was the otter exhibit.  Sam made a friend :) Apparently two year olds have their own language. Sam loves watching the video over and over, and each time he does he makes the same sounds. Enjoy!

Swimming

Last night we went to a BBQ for the Scuba Team in Brigham City and afterwards we went swimming at the Brigham pool. Here's Miss Katy Bean all decked out in her cutesy swimming suit.

She's kinda cute, huh :)

I wish I could've gotten one of Mr Sam, but he's 2, enough said! :) The kid does NOT hold still for anything. He had a blast playing and running around with all the kids at the BBQ and then came time for swimming. He was SOOO excited until we started walking into the water. I am surprised I do not have claw marks on my arms from how tightly he was hanging on...we're talking DEATH GRIP. Once he finally realized I wasn't going to let him go he relaxed and had fun splashing grandma and daddy (that's why I was the one holding him...I'm not dumb).  The swimming pool has a big, fun slide that Morgan had to go down. Sam's face was priceless as he waited for his daddy to make it down the slide. He was so excited and couldn't stop screaming/laughing when daddy came out of the water. So, mommy had to try it too. Don't get me wrong, the slide was fun, but seeing the look on my sweet boy's face when I got to the end was the highlight. Because seeing his face wasn't enough for us, we had to see if he would go down the slide. Daddy took Sam up all the stairs and when they got to the top they looked down and waved to a nervous mommy and grandma. It seemed like it took them forever to get down that slide but soon enough they were at the bottom and Morgan did so well at holding him above the water....until his feet slipped and they both went under. Morgan got them up quickly and Sam looked very surprised but quickly snapped out of it and wanted to go again! What a kid! They ending up going down 3 times until Sam was so cold his little hands were blue. Time to go home. Sam got changed and warmed up then wanted to go again. I was so nervous for him but he had a blast. Looks like swimming and water slides are going to be pushed to the top of our "Must Do" list.

It's been awhile....

As my mid-year goal (and the ever so gentle push from my sister-in-law) I am going to try my very hardest to blog at least once a week. I am hoping that by doing this it will 1. Let our family (those who actually read this blog) keep updated with the happenings of our little family and 2. Help me realize all the milestones and great times we actually do have---instead of just thinking nothing exciting happens around here.  With that being said, I guess it's time for an update!

Our sweet little princess, Kathryn Jean Dalton (aka Katy Bean) joined our little family on the morning of Feb 28, 2012 weighing in at a tiny 5 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long! She has been such a wonderful addition and fills our lives with such sweetness that only little girls can bring. Not only are mommy and daddy very fond of her, but her big brother just can't seem to get enough! One of the first things he asks when he wakes up is "Katy? Katy?" Which actually comes out more like "lil'ly"...guess you just have to hear it to understand. But it's the sweetest thing. And she loves him just as much. The two of them will sit and "talk" and hold hands as often as they can. I can only pray their closeness will last and they will love each other like this forever.

Picture time!! We had family pictures taken a couple weeks ago, and when I get them all back, I will post my favorites....until then, this will have to do.

Here's some of our 4th of July picts. I had to take one of Katy before we left for the day because I knew she'd never look the same after everything we did. She wasn't super cooperative, but it works for now. I just can't believe how quickly our kiddos are growing up!

Sorry for the short post, but my mommy duties are calling my name! Until next time...
